With Mars finally moving forward again the year is finally under way and inevitably building momentum slowly but surely. At the project we have been dourly enduring our familiar friend, the rock and the hard place that is Saturn sqr Pluto, which was a prominent feature of this year’s Aries ingress chart. While we grin and bear it, there is also the arduous business of attempting to grok it’s meaning and purpose, and presumed utility - which is a wordy way of saying “What’s the point?”.
Well that’s how astrology can work for us in daily life - it frequently offers gems of insight which enable acceptance and engagement with the flow of events.
Astrology is both a pragmatic and reflective endeavour. Our firm belief is that whatever your intentions for it’s use, it should be done well, with knowledge and application.

So if you’d like to dive into the nourishing joys of heritage astrology, the next intensive is a thorough examination of ASPECTS. This adds yet another invaluable item to our growing tool kit which, when fully assembled over the next few months, will enable charts to be read skillfully. The most recent materials from translations of Robert Schmidt (Antiochus) and Ben Dykes (Masha’Allah) are providing fresh inspiration for approaching astrology with the authentic concepts and methods of the Hellenistic originators of our contemporary horoscopic astrological system.

The Aspects - Planetary Relationships
Astrological aspects are the complex and fascinating method by which any chart weaves into an evermore individualised picture. In many ways, they allow planets to go beyond intrinsic nature and extra conditioning, to “regard” each other, interrelate, and have further effect. Seeking to grasp such subtleties and understand different relationship dynamics, this intensive delves into the underpinnings of aspect origin and development. Drawing upon a deep traditional heritage, this will include discerning various qualities, defining what pertains to strengths and affects functioning, in order to clarify symbolic processes and practical delineation.
